Stockholm, the grand capital of Sweden, sometimes referred as the capital of Scandinavia, is a truly versatile destination full of surprises even for a regular visitor.

Perhaps the best-known side of Stockholm is the modern city with intriguing history, renowned, trend-setting restaurants offering contemporary Nordic cuisine, and vibrant nightlife with inviting bars and clubs to live on. However the modern, lively capital is surrounded by the tranquillity of idyllic archipelago with freedom to roam on uninhabited islands and explore the unpolluted, alluring nature.

Even that Stockholm is the largest city in the Nordics, the capital is built on islands connected by bridges and ferries. With a population of about one million people the city is still relatively small, giving Stockholm cosy charisma and allowing you to discover the city by foot and water. We invite you to experience Stockholm, a city coloured with flavours of Scandinavia.



On arrival to Stockholm you will get a first glimpse of VIP treatment ahead of you, as you will be waiting comfortable in the lounge while we take care of your luggage and immigration procedures.

One of our drivers will whisk you to your accommodation while telling you about the surroundings. At the Grand Hotel Stockholm your suite will be welcoming you with a view opening to the Royal castle and the surrounding sea.

The Grand Hotel is a landmark in Stockholm and the only traditional 5 star hotel in the city. It is located right in the centre of the historical district nearby the Royal Palace and seaside. Most of the key points of interests are within walking distance.

As the evening arrives, your table will be ready for you at awarded restaurant Operakällaren, that is situated just a short walk from the hotel. Operakällaren is one of the most braised restaurants in the city, has a Michelin star and history that extends all the way till 1787.


After sumptuous breakfast at the hotel Grand you’ll meet your private guide in the lobby, who will run through the programme for the day with you, as your day will include attractions such as Wasa ship museum, Abba museum and the National Museum, all conveniently located close to each other on the island of Djurgarden in central Stockholm.

During the day you will enjoy lunch at Ulla Winbladh, restaurant serving authentic and traditional Swedish cuisine and inspired by the 18th century ballad troubadour Bellman.


In the afternoon we’ll explore the Old Town with its narrow cobble-stoned streets and charming shops. After your visit to the Royal Palace your return to the streets of Stockholm overwhelmed by the glorious past of the Nordic country of Sweden.

After the day absorbing the insider information on Stockholm, it’s time to sit back and relax at Mathias Dahlgren´s “dinner table”. Exclusive dinner cooked by top chef right in front of you, and interact with the fellow diners and the chef.


In the morning your boat will be waiting for you just right in front of your hotel and take you out to see Stockholm city centre from the waterside. First we will head out to Vaxholm, the capital of the archipelago, where we will make our first stop to enjoy the charming village. For the lunch we will find our own bay on an island and serve a typical Swedish lunch as your private picnic. After a relaxing break we continue to the outer archipelago and embark on a private island where the land-owner Björn will welcome you with drinks and snacks that he serves in his traditional boat house. Afterwards you will experience wood-burning sauna and perhaps a dip in the refreshing sea.

As you return from sauna your worries and the buzz of the hectic city life is just a distant memory. Meanwhile Björn has prepared you a mouthwatering 3-course dinner from local produce: freshly caught fish and other assorted Swedish specialities are on the menu tonight.

After the dinner it is time to say goodbyes to your host and the boat will take you back to the Grand Hotel.



For your 4th day in Sweden we have listed a few options you can choose from, based on your personal desires and interests. However Stockholm is a city of possibilities, and in the end of this itinerary you will find further suggestions that can be incorporated in your experience with us.


Stockholm is for a reason told to be filled with history. Today your guide will take you to Drottningholm Castle some half hour away from your hotel. Drottningholm is of the best preserved castles in Sweden, dating back from the 16th century. The castle is not only a historical attraction but also a home for the Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

The Drottningholm castle is located right by the water of lake Mälaren in a naturally beautiful setting. Drottningholm castle is on the UNESCO world heritage list and is representative to all royal architecture from its time.

In the region we will visit the magnificently decorated State Apartments and enjoy a stroll in the outdoor surroundings, including the gardens inspired by French and English landscapes and styles.

Your journey back to Stockholm will be on water and you will dine onboard while enjoying summer breeze as you travel full steam towards Stockholm.



As Stockholm is surrounded by water, fresh fish is always available, and one of the beloved hobbies along the locals is fishing indeed. Your private fishing guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you by boat to the best fishing places in the region, known by the locals only. The menu will consists of northern pike, perch and zander. Using the traditional cooking methods by an open fire, you will barbeque your catch of the day with the fisherman on a tranquil bay in the archipelago.

After one of the freshest lunch you’ve probably ever had, it’s time to try out some paddling in the calm waters. We set off with the kayaks silently between the bird cliffs, enjoying the presence of wildlife and the sound of pacifying silence. As we eventually reach the island of Finnhamn, the warmth of sauna is inviting you to enjoy another relaxing evening in the archipelago of the Swedish capital. Here the water gets lukewarm in the shallowest parts, calling you for wild water swimming.

After a dinner on an island restaurant a rib boat doing more that 50 knots will bring you back to the city, and it can be assured your sleep will be tight and sound after an eventful day in the heart of Sweden.



Let yourself to indulge in the world’s favourite flavour with a visit to the local Chocolate Factory. Here you’ll learn all about what makes chocolate so luscious, how to create the cream to perfection, and the importance of having the right temperature in the process. Design your own assortment of chocolates to bring home as a unique souvenir – only if they last the journey home without becoming your secret late night snack.

The visit to the chocolate factory is perfectly combined with a light lunch at Cafe Fåfängan, situated high up on a cliff overlooking Stockholm, and offering an inviting indoor and outdoor settings for a memorable lunch what ever the weather. After lunch take some time at leisure to enjoy the area with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine before we head back to the hotel.

You will have some time to rest and let your taste buds to settle before we pick you up again for an evening culinary tour! Experience an exotic, multicultural mix of unique restaurants and shops that offer delicious food samples while we learn all about the fantastic food and culture from different parts of world. This tour will take place at Södermalm, Stockholm’s old working class neighbourhood that has turned into lively bohemian chic suburb packed with vibrant new restaurants.
